Microfilm is "a length of film containing microphotographs of a newspaper, catalog, or other document." It is a low-cost, reliable, long-term, standardized image storage medium. You may sometimes need microfilm or microfiche to access historical newspapers, magazines or other documents for your research.
Most libraries have some microfilm holdings. Microfilm readers are available on the second floor of the library.
