What is a PTRC?

A Patent and Trademark Resource Center (PTRC) is a library designated by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) to receive and house copies of U.S. patents and patent and trademark materials, to make them freely available to the public, and to actively disseminate patent and trademark information.

  • Access to copies of material held at USPTO (e.g. Foreign Patent Image Files)
  • Field of Search requests
  • Access to published plant patents

Please note: We cannot conduct patent and trademark searches for patrons or advise or assist with specific searches as that activity could be interpreted as rendering a legal judgment or opinion.
