HIST 4600: Revolution in the Modern World

Manuscript Collections

Manuscript collections are any set of papers from one person or organization that have not formally been published. Various examples of this include personal papers from an author like Sylvia Plath, the papers of the Mayor of Charlotte, or the papers of Charlotte National Organization of Women. For the J. Murrey Atkins Special Collections and University Archives, we focus on collection Charlotte specific materials but there are a few examples of manuscript collections that do hold pieces from the French Revolution and the Revolutionary War.
