Webinar Request Process

All webinars are scheduled and advertised by Denelle Eads.
The steps in the process of arranging for a webinar that has a fee include:
Webinars that are announced in time for the annual travel budget approval process should be included in the departmental travel budget proposal. Other webinars that surface during the year will be approved by the supervisor and then the Dean whether they are for one individual or a broader audience. We will attempt to fund webinars as long as the cost is reasonable and funding is available.
1). The staff member or a representative from a group of staff, who wants to attend a webinar, completes the Library Staff Travel Request form;
2). The staff member obtains the approval of his/her supervisor through his/her signature on the Library Staff Travel Request form;
3). After the form is signed by the supervisor, the Library Staff Travel Request form should be given to Taylor who will obtain the Dean's signature and complete the funding request;
4). Taylor and Denelle will complete the registration and process payment;
5). Denelle will reserve the room, distribute the logon credentials to the requestor, and promote the webinar to the staff.
For free webinars, please register and forward the details to Denelle, so she can reserve a room and promote the webinar to staff.
While we try to process webinar requests promptly, please begin the process as soon as you receive the announcement to allow time for scheduling and publicity.
The intention of this procedure is to make professional development opportunities available and consistently promoted to all Atkins faculty and staff.
