Types of Active Learning

Project-Based Learning is the use of in-depth and rigorous classroom projects to facilitate learning and assess student competence. 

Just-In-Time Teaching (JiTT)

Just-in-Time Teaching (JiTT) uses feedback from work students do at home in preparation for the classroom meeting.

Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL)

Inquiry-Based Learning presents a scenario or problem that challenges students to identify questions to work out solutions. 

Contextualized Learning (CTL)

Contextual Learning is reality-based, in-and-out of the classroom experience, within a specific context.

Experiential Learning (EL)

Experiential Learning is the process of making meaning from direct experience, i.e., "learning from experience".

Cooperative Learning (CL)

Cooperative Learning is an approach to organizing classroom activities into academic and social learning experiences.
