Here are a few quick tips and pointers to get you started on researching the history of UNC Charlotte:
- While many of our collections have finding aids online, there are still many which do not. Do not fear! These collections are still open for research and can be used in our reading room. If you do not find what you are looking for in our finding aids, please email spec-coll@uncc.edu and we may be able to find more information for you.
- Some of our larger collections with no online guide include: records of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs/Provost, Business Affairs records, and the administrative records of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences
- For tips on using our finding aids, check out the ArchivesSpace FAQ
- Not all records of the University get preserved in the archives. You can take a look here to see what types of records are generally considered archival here: https://ncrecords.files.wordpress.com/2018/07/university_archivalrecords_2018.pdf
