All artists' books are held in Special Collections & University Archives located on the 10th floor on J. Murrey Atkins Library. You can search for books using the library catalog.

Blue Ridge Bounty

A miniature handmade book created by Sharon Sharp. Features collograph of skeletal leaves collected near the Blue Ridge Parkway and topography maps of the area surrounding Boone, North Carolina. This copy is number 7 of 10.

Southern Hypocrisy

Call Number: N7433.4.M3257 S68 2008

This artist book is an altered hardcover copy of Raymond Arsenault's Freedom Riders, which chronicles the events of the Civil Rights movement in 1961. The artist, April Marten, is from Charlotte, North Carolina.

Berlin Wall: 1961 - 1989

Created by North Carolina artist Sheryl Oring and published in Greensboro, North Carolina. It includes Polaroid photos taken as part of Oring's other project, "Maueramt," commemorating the twenty-fifth anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. The book is also wrapped in newspaper from the day of the anniversary.
