Election Day 2024 is Tuesday, November 5th
On November 5th, voters will choose the 47th president of the United States of America.
In addition to the presidential election, there will be elections for all 435 seats in the United States House of Representatives, 34 seats in the United States Senate, 13 governor seats, and hundreds of state, local, and municipal offices.

The deadline to register to vote is Friday, October 11th at 5 pm.
United States Presidential Election
On Election Day, voters will choose the 47th president of the United States. The following is a list of candidates running for the presidency and their vice presidential running mates in 2024:
In addition to choosing a new president, North Carolina voters will also be voting for governor, council of state offices (lieutenant governor, attorney general, secretary of state, and other state executive offices), state supreme court, and members of the United States House of Representatives, North Carolina Senate, and North Carolina House of Representatives.
Incumbent Governor Roy Cooper, first elected in 2016, is term limited, meaning he can only serve two consecutive terms in office. As a result, the North Carolina governor's seat is open.

Municipal Elections in Mecklenburg County
Voters in Mecklenburg County will be voting for a number of municipal offices including county commission, register of deeds, and judicial seats.
The county commission consists of three at-large seats that all Mecklenburg County residents vote for in addition to six district-based seats. Where you live in Mecklenburg County will determine which district level seat that will be on your ballot.
