Dissertations and Theses

Requesting a Copy of your Dissertation or Thesis

Not all dissertations and theses are available electronically through the ProQuest Dissertations and Theses database.  If you are unsure whether or not your dissertation or thesis is available electronically, and you do not have NinerNet login credentials to access the database, please contact the Atkins Library Research Help Desk.

  • Theses submitted before 1996 are not available through the Dissertations and Theses database.

  • The only electronic copies of theses and dissertations available through the library are available through the database.  Theses that did not receive permission from their authors to submit their thesis to the electronic database must rely on the print copy available at the library.  We keep 2 print copies of theses in the library: one is held in the General Collection and can be checked out with a NinerNet ID card, alumni card or library guest borrower card.  The other print copy is held by our Special Collections and University Archives.
