The boy allies with the submarine D-32: or The Fall of the Russian Empire- This book is part of the Boy Allies naval series. It involves two young British naval officers helping in a Russian fleet battle against the Germans. 

Wings on my feet: black Ulysses at the wars-This book is part of the Black Ulysses Trilogy written by Howard W. Odum. The book focuses on Ulysses, a black worker during the early 1900s, serving as a soldier during World War I. 

All Quiet on the Western Front-This novel is considered one of the most famous tales of fiction from the World War I era. It was first published in serial form in a German magazine before being published as a full novel in 1929. The book tells the tale of Paul Baumer, a young German soldier, and his time on the Western Front.
