The Student Emergency Fund (SEF), which is overseen by Student Assistance and Support Services (SASS), assists UNC Charlotte students by providing financial support when they need assistance with unexpected, immediate, and unavoidable life emergencies that cause unforeseen expenses within the current semester for which the request is made.

Camino believes nutrition is a key component to living a healthy lifestyle. Unfortunately, many people don’t have access to food, let alone meals rich in nutrients. It’s through our Food Pantry, called “The Food Farmacy”, that we help alleviate food insecurity in our community. They do so by giving community members the opportunity to receive weekly groceries that we customize to fit their exact dietary needs.

The Food and Nutrition Services Program (FNS) provides assistance to households with limited income and resources.

DSS Employment and Career Services is a part of the Economic Services Division of the Department of Social Services. The Work First Employment Services and RISE2Work programs engage qualified customers to provide job search assistance, short-term training and supportive services needed to empower and assist customers in securing employment to move towards independence.

Medicaid is a medical assistance program that pays medical bills for people who meet certain eligibility requirements (such as income, age, or disability) which are based on Federal regulations and State law.
