Niner Transit bus service is fare-free for students, faculty, staff and visitors; no UNC Charlotte ID required to ride. Operating every day except holidays and when the University is closed.

Lime provides affordable, short-term bike and e-scooter rentals on campus 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Simply download the Lime app to set up your new account with your @charlotte.edu email address. Users with existing Lime accounts must sign in with their University email to receive reduced-rate pricing.
Find an available vehicle near you using the app’s GPS map, then scan the vehicle’s QR code to begin your ride.
We strongly encourage you to bring a helmet to wear while riding.

The Shopping Shuttle allows for on-campus students without transportation to access off-campus grocery stores. The shuttle runs Wednesday-Friday from 5-9 PM.
Note: The Shopping Shuttle does not operate on football game days.

The LYNX Blue Line connects UNC Charlotte with the neighborhoods and business districts from University City to uptown to as far south as Pineville. Light rail also provides greater accessibility for the citizens of the region to the resources of the University. Light rail stations at Ninth Street (beside UNC Charlotte Center City), J.W. Clay/UNC Charlotte at North Tryon Street, and the UNC Charlotte Main Station along Cameron Boulevard at Wallis Hall (near North Deck) bring the convenience of light rail to the University's doorstep.

Members of the UNC Charlotte campus community are eligible to purchase a CATS All-Access Transit Pass, which includes unlimited use of the CATS LYNX light rail, streetcar, Special Transportation Service,* local and express CATS buses. Most students have the CATS All-Access Transit Pass automatically included in their student fees. Others may purchase a pass.

Mecklenburg Transportation System (MTS) is a program within the Mecklenburg County Department of Social Services (DSS) that provides non-emergency transportation to eligible citizens of Mecklenburg County.
