This initiative is a campus-wide partnership operated out of the Office of Identity, Equity, and Engagement. The purpose of this website is to provide basic information, policies, and support resources for trans students on UNC Charlotte's campus.

Groups and platforms aimed at connecting individuals with organizations that provide holistic identity development and empowerment opportunities.

The Center for Wellness Promotion partners with many campus departments and offices, as well as community agencies, to create a safe, affirming, accepting and welcoming environment that embraces all aspects of human diversity, including sexual and gender identity.

For Us: A QTBIPOC Student Space by the Office of Identity, Equity, and Engagement is a student-facilitated space centering LGBTQ+ students who also identify as Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) and/or multiracial. Students who attend will be able to build community with other students, engage in educational discussions, and create meaningful relationships with peers.

From annual parades that excite diverse crowds to special film festivals that share talent from every walk of life, the Queen City celebrates inclusiveness. Time Out Youth Center is a place where you can experience a sense of belonging and community. Whether you are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, a straight ally – or just don’t want to be labeled, you will be welcomed here. Some of our youth are out, some are partially out, and some are not out at all. Time Out Youth Center offers a safe space for all and fully respects the journey of each individual.

Charlotte Pride creates programs and activities to enrich, empower, strengthen, and make visible the unique lives and experiences of LGBTQ people in Charlotte and the Carolinas.

Transcend’s mission is to pursue equity and social justice for transgender and gender expansive communities through education, advocacy, mental health and social support services.

Charlotte Trans Health's mission is to increase trans-specialized provider clinical competency and best practice interdisciplinary collaboration among affirming providers in the greater Charlotte area.

A Directory of Trans-Affirming Health & Legal Service Providers, is a directory of more than 400 Southern health service providers who are trans-affirming.

The Trevor Project is focused on suicide prevention efforts among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning youth, they offer a toll-free telephone number where confidential assistance is provided by trained counselors.

Gender Spectrum is a national organization committed to the health and well-being of gender- diverse children and teens through education and support for families, and training and guidance for educators, medical and mental health providers, and other professionals.

We are an LGBTQIA+ undergraduate student-based organization designed to bring together those within our community. Our goal is to support, value, and uplift LGBTQIA+ individuals. Our organization will focus on important pieces of Queer history, individuals who have impacted our community, bonding with one another, and supporting other LGBTQIA+ organizations within the Charlotte area.

LGBTQ+ Graduate Coalition is a student group that creates a space for LGBTQ-identified graduate students.

Queer Yoga Charlotte is an inclusive yoga group for all LGBTQIA+, Trans, Nonbinary, Queer, Gender Nonconforming, Questioning, and/or allies students here at UNCC. Through this club, Vinyasa flow yoga is used to help with stress, peace of mind, relaxation and body rejuvenation along with providing a safe space where students may connect and socialize with one another.
