How will I physically interact with this?
- Open the YouTube app on an iPad, phone, or computer. Navigate to the video in the app. Move the device around to view or use the mouse to click and drag.
- If viewing in a VR headset, you will place the headset on your head with the earphones over your ears, then look around in all directions.
How might my body feel?
- You may feel tension in your body or anxiety if you are worried about having the headset on your head or if this is your first time looking into a virtual space.
- You may feel tension in your body if you are anxious around animals or as the lemurs jump around. If you have any issues with motion sickness, simply close your eyes or stop viewing the video.
- You may feel anxious if you do not like the sounds of eating (chewing, crushing). You pay flip up the earphones (VR) or turn the sound off (handheld device), if needed.
What emotions might I feel?
- You may feel nervous, due to the unpredictable nature of the lemurs.
- If using a VR headset, you may feel uncertainty, if this is your first time in a headset.
Is there content I might find upsetting?
- The content is not designed to be upsetting, but could be off-putting if you have had past negative experiences with animals or sudden movement from areas outside of your vision. This video is of a larger group of lemurs eating. You will hear chewing sounds throughout the video. Many lemurs get close to the camera, moving and walking in close proximity to your view, throughout the video.
- Lemurs approach the camera quickly at times, running towards and past the camera's point of view.
- Throughout the video, lemurs grab, lick, and/or put their open mouth over the camera.
- At several points, there are loud vocalizations.
