Infographics & Posters

An infographic, at its most basic form, is a graphical (or visual) representation of information, often using a combination of words, numbers, and visuals. Infographics are so popular because they can easily convey a great deal of complicated information quickly. When creating an infographic, make sure you have a catchy and clear title that conveys your main point, you don't have too much information, and that your visuals and text aren't too crowded. There are lots of things to think about when creating an infographic, but make sure it's visually attractive, so people will want to look at it!

A poster can feature an infographic, but it can also spotlight many other visual genres. Academic research posters are a very specific genre of poster, but can vary greatly, depending on the context. Refer to this how-to on academic posters for some quick tips!
