Photogrammetry is a process in which software uses multiple pictures of a real world object to generate a 3D model of that object. The Photogrammetry Lab is designed to support digital 3D modeling of real-world objects using photographs. The space and equipment allows the user to photograph an object and process those photographs into a digital 3D model using photogrammetry software.
Located on the first floor of J. Murrey Atkins Library, room 101E, the lab is equipped with a DSLR camera, tripod, lighting and white backdrop, manual turntable, and PC with Agisoft Metashape software.
